No it didn't.

It gave me 4.

Anyways...I was just asking the dealership the same thing.

Minor under-body layouts (I believe exhaust goes under//over something differently) as well as front end and rear end.

2.0 vs 2.2!!

no ? lets do some math..

an f24c would flow about 5,430 cfms at 8grand,
an f20c would flow about 6,100 cfms at 10.5grand.

It's top end hp but with the right cams and gears the power band could be just as usable. People already rev there f22c to 9 grand and i've seen ppl rev the f20 to 10. So if you were to take an f22c block and put an f20 crank in it with custom longer rods the rod/stroke ratio would be good for probably at least 11k rpms. Finding the cam to make use of all that rpm would be a mission tho..

honestly, who the hell needs all that rpm other then F1 guys? no one here i would say 9K is more then enough for "US" street/road/drag guys.

i see your point totally, but let be real here displacment gets the job done. torque is what moves the masses....

If you're gonna use custom rods, why not just use custom cams too? F22@9k, been there, done that.

It sounds like a great idea but also has the drawback of increased cylinder wear.. I don't kno if the H22 pistons would be a good idea tho. This guy built one who posted on s2ki and said that the valve reliefs on the H pistons look like they'd need work. http://www.s2ki.com/forums/ind...49168 . He used custom frm pistons and rods.

Custom rods would be the only way to go if I was to build a high rpm engine.. I think that's the only way to go if you build the stroker too tho.

that was in referance to the budget build, yes i would go aftermarket rods/pistons as well but i would still use the k24 crank

with custom cams you will have to do a lot of R&D yourself with specs since their isnt much out there for the F20/22's. or just sit back and see what works out later down the road.
Bisimoto engineering will be in development for F20/22 engine parts for the pwer freak in mind, But it will be sometime before this is done.
