correction of prev posting(need help with timing on US/J DM mix)
the original thread is here:
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread/1832366
now the issue
as far as setting the timing:
I cant find the connector the helms manual says to jumper
it says it is in the "left rear" of engine compartment.
does someone have a picture?
and what about my JDM engine w/ USDM crank pulley?
are the marks in the same place?
do I still set it to the red mark like the helms says for the USDM or should it be diferent for the JDM engine?
I failed emmissions so I am trying to knock everything out that I can

Thanks for all the help guys
I got a variable timing light and set the timing by the tdc mark which I assume is the same even if the other 3 marks are different from market to market.
I jumpered the connector in the outside corner of the passgr floorbrd, it seems to have the right color wires even if it is in a completely different location than the helms manual says.
But then the last step on page 23-58 says to replace the rubber cover on the timing adjuster screw. Which it never says to remove, use, or even identifies.
So I guess even Helms manuals aren't perfect.
