Here is my motor compared to a mostly stock h22 that was in a late model SH. As you can see... THIS DYNAPACK READS LOW... However, for the haters sake, I didn't post up inferred dynojet numbers... I'll go to a dynojet when I feel like wasting some of my money for you haters out there. For now I'm gonna enjoy it...

STARTUP

IN CAR

2 FLY BY'S (3RD GEAR)

2 LIGHTS

So... some pics... I tried to copy most of the pics to this page for easier viewing, but i'm sure there are left out, so... i hope you make it past the first page. haha.

Here is the header and intake mani that adorn the motor...

and yes... that header fits in a prelude... The car is a championship white 4th gen.

And some random other pics.

Here's my egg in the background...

-I must thank Brad for his mind boggling head work and nasty intake manifold, which I hear he will be selling in the near future... (hint hint, get yo self one y0!)
-Thanks to Howard for his ill tuning and loctite skills
-Thanks to Randy for a sick nasty tubular creation that actually fits in a lude chasis! (lude guys need to pick one up)

Nice Results. It's always fun when these projects finally get finished.

Does Brad attribute the double tiered torque curve to his IM mods, since it's not usually a characteristic of the Jun cams in a H series?

Re: Dynapacks vs Dynojets

If you like, do it. Besides a comparison of numbers of Howard's Dynapack (that is said to read low) it will be a neat exercise to compare the shape of the torque curves. Drum vs hub. Do you know what the TC Factor was set at and the total run time? I'm trying to get a better understanding of the Dynapacks. I think I'm starting to like them more and more.

awesome man, im glad that everything finally worked out for you. For comparison, I have the highest NA b series that RLZ has dyno'd on pump and I put down 217/142 (85.5x92 RLZ built). So this motor is INSANE.

let me know when you wanna get dynojet #'s, well go together

you would have to ask howard about the TC factor....

every good tuner i have ever talked to prefers the Dynapack to anything.....the partial throttle and load tuning capabilites are lightyears ahead of dynojets and the likes....

yeah sounds like a plan...i have a few small bugs to work out from my own lack of knowledge. no biggie but i can safely say ive had my share of bumps in the road. It was definately worth it though, Brad and Howard both hook it up when youre in need and overall are there when you need help

just for some comparison, i tuned a stock honda part LSvtec on RLZ's dyno, it made 170hp.. he took it up to Turbo tune (dynojet 248c) on a HOTTER day and made 201hp, no changes at all to the car.

but those are deffinatly some sick number. John... you gota bring that thing up to phantasm and give me a ride asap. TC is always 1, this means there is no correction for drivetrain losses, if i know Howard it was done in 3rd gear with around a 7-8 sec ramp.

The last highish compression h22 i did with the jun3 cams had a similar tq curve, flat through hte middle with a high peak, it made 217 on that same dyno (12:1 mahle pistons, ebay header, euro r intake, jun3 cams)

and yeah, dynapack > everyotherdynoever

That is a very nice looking graph. VTEC at 6200? That 95mm stroke is really showing itself after peak torque hits, drops off rather quickly, but from 4400-7400 youve got quite a nice flat curve! Nice build. What octane is pump gas in your area?

not necessarily.

but none the less awsome numbers. I love the fact that he is rockin it in a lude.
So when are the track dates? That is the real test of a true power band.

hate to be the Nutcracker, but how does this compare to other h-series buildups? like randy's or endyn's ... i would have expeted more from brad's work, maybe there we problems and not done tuning yet?

we have a local guy that puts out 268whp on a dynojet, with stock h22 stroke, his backyard porting with a dremmel tool and hytech race header .. just for reference Benchmark.

no flaming, just asking a question ... plus i'm fond of brad's work

this dyno reads 20-30hp lower than dynojets around here.

like i said, my 85.5x92 made 217/142 with 12:1, full 3" exhaust and rlz valvejob on this dyno, and holds the record for b series whp on pump at 217, so with that being said, and with the h22 with i/h/e graph making 164 overlayed onto johns, this motor should make 275-280 on an average reading dynojet

Sweet dyno. Is this setup in a 5th gen lude. Man that is crzy. How does it feel. I have a lude with 178 hp on a dyno jet and it feels okay. I bet that thing will pull. Mad props dude.
BTW that is the craziest manifold I have ever seen. WOW!!
