I wouldn't worry bout it, Teins don't usually go bad and if Tom wasn't getting them direct or through a "authorized" dealer, how would he get them. you will be taken care of.
I think its funny that TEIN has to come on here and throw threats, its just like Hondata. All these companies are making millions, cut us a break! What makes TEINs so special? Its not like they changed the game, its just like a dozen other companies out there that make quality products. I really like TEIN products and will soon own some, but I don't like the whole "we won't warranty......." WTF? Its still your product, no matter who sells it.
Finally, CALL TOM. PM will not work, his account is always down or he doesn't get them. He is not just doing this for the money, he honestly doesn't give a damn about making all the jack. He is helping us, he got me my parts cheaper than anyone else and gives great advice. I never even met the guy, but have talked to him plenty on the phone and he always gives me great deals, even on my first order.

Why is this even an arguement? I know the business, I have been in it for 7 years. Yeah thats not a long time, but longer than alot of shops out there. I understand the thin profit margin that high end parts have, but this is the internet. There is more than just Honda-Tech out there (watches for lightning). If you have a store, techs, installation bays etc. then you obviously have a local following. I don't sell on the net for the very reason you complain about, plus I don't like to fight on the net and my customer load is too great to stay online all day. There are alot of people out there that don't have a store front, and sell out of their garage all day. So what! You can't stop them, so don't try.
To clown on a person's car on a national forum as big as this one just makes you look bad. Also, import guys in no way get off cheap. Compare what we do to our cars to what domestic guys are doing. We buy half the parts for more money. Pistons, get 4 and pay the 8 price. It sux but thats life, ford and chevy motors have been built for the last 40 years and the manufacturers have made their money, this is the new money market and everyone is trying to exploit us. Your beef should be with TEIN, if their buy in was greater or if their monthly maintain was large enough this problem wouldn't exist. How many companies are you an actual "authorized" distributor for? If the list is long, then maybe you should shorten it a little and not try to make large money from a 25% markdown from retail.
Anyway, no hard feelings at all, I just hate to see a guy get put down for helping people out. Yeah it hurts your pocket, but so does Ebay.

Bump for Tom he is a very good guy he gets away with hooking up fellow car enthusiasts as often as he can. He is busy a lot, as stated earlier, but give his phone a call and 9/10 times he'll answer.
