Default Redrilling bolt pattern?

Is it possible to re drill the bolt pattern on a 5x120 rim to 4x100?

Is it safe?

does the wheel have a covered cap?

i have done it several time sand nevre had problems. from 5x114.3 to 4x100 and 4x114.3 to 4x100.

the shop fills in the wheel's lug holes back and front and if the wheel has back hub pockets then they fill that in too, flatten the rear hub on a lathe and then drill a new pattern in.

There a set of BBS RS 3 pieces and it's a damn good price for em too.

They've got flat backs so they shouldn't be to bad to get redrilled.

in my experiance w/ dealing w/some machinists they feel that drilling them w/ 2 patterns such as 5x120.65 and 4x100 will weaken the wheel and make them unsafe. yes, it's less work and it can be done but is it safe to do? i'm not sure.

most jobs i have seen that way have all the holes filled then the machinist drills the wheels to the desired pattern.

I found a local shop and they said a fill and drill would be best.

From my years of wheeling I've seen way too many issues with adapters/spacers.
I won't touch them with a 10ft pole.
