Icon7 Question on Nuts

Aside from looks, is there any difference between the "open" nuts (top pic) and the "closed" nuts (bottom pic) in terms of safety?

In terms of safety (assuming that the seat and thread/pitch are identical) it only matters if you have extended studs. Usually closed end nuts are too short to thread all the way down on an extended stud.

Thread pitch is part of matching the correct nut to a stud/bolt, and is 12x1.5 for out Hondas, explained in the FAQ.

Lug nut seat is also explained in the FAQ.
