Possible to disable TPNS sensor?
(Sorry title should be TPMS, missed my typo before i posted...)
Just curious, because I bought my 2008 Civic lx used and I've put about 1500kms on my swapped winter rims (no sensors) and I have no light in the dash.
Also when I turn on the headlights I am used to having the shifter positions light up (yes it's an automatic) and that illumination is not present either like it was in my 01 civic dx model.
Not sure if someone might have disabled the light in the cluster before i purchased it is all. Not a big deal, car is in excellent shape otherwise.
When I turn the key to first position and all the lights come on in the dash (test) there is no tpms light either. I have never had a car with tpms before so not sure what the light should look like.
Any opinions would be welcomed.

Re: Possible to disable TPNS sensor?
the light should come on no matter what for a couple seconds once key is turned on, i believe it was mandated that all 08+ cars need to be equiped with tpms, sounds like some one removed bulb in cluster

Re: Possible to disable TPNS sensor?
Ok so it may be a bulb issue, in a digital cluster though?
The illumination is not an issue, and I whacked the shifter the other morning with my lights on and now the <P-D-D3-2-1-N-R> is illuminated as it should be. Just a loose connection in there perhaps.
I'll get the mechanic to check my cluster bulbs next time it's in for service.
Thanks for the responses.
