I had the DRL dash light on last week and the passenger bulb was out. Replaced both bulbs with Osram. I noticed the passenger bulb was broken, not just burned out.

With new bulbs I still have a DRL light on my dash. Stays on when parking lights are on. It only goes away when I turn the night lamps on.

I thought it was normal to be dimly lit, but the DRL light isn't dim. Is there a relay or wire issue here?

Um, what Civic do you have that has DRLs?

It's a Canadian car. All sold after 1990 required DRL here as far as I know.
Anyway I think I have it figured out.

I didn't realize the US cars didn't come with DRL. I'm not from the US.
It's a 92 Civic (listed in garage and signature..) model DX

The dash light increases in brightness when the high beams are on. In a garage the "dim" light appears bright.

In the sun the light is too faint to see. Otherwise the dash light is coming and going.. I'll know after I drive again tomorrow morning.

I don't see a DRL dash indicator light in the circuit diagram. Can post pictures?

Sorry it's the high beam indicator not DRL.

First photo is with the lights off (except DRL). It stays like this when the parking lights are on.

When the night lights are on, it turns off. Unless of course the high beams are turned on. Second photo shows the high beams on with night lights. As you can see it's brighter.

I could've took a photo of the night lights without the high beams on but didn't think to.

Test the light switch. Might be bad. Try cleaning contacts.
