Default Issues with my 16x7.5 +32 wheels - 99' Civic EX Coupe

Hello,

I have 16x7.5 +32 Kosei K1 wheels for my 99' Civic EX Coupe. I am lowered on coil overs but there seems to be an issue, when I mounted the wheels - the inner barrel would hit the part of the rear camber arm as seen below:

I was thinking of getting a rear camber kit to alleviate the problem. Has anyone else ran into these issues besides me?

Here is an example photo of my setup.

These were only placed on to drive around the block and they rubbed like hell. Also, I plan on running 205/45/16's, should I have any issues with rubbing drastically? And should I roll my fenders? I'm new to this... I usually buy Rotas with a +40 offset and whatnot and figured I'd try my first track oriented setup and would really love these to work flawlessly.

That width/offset will most likely rub depending on your drop. A small wheel spacer should solve your issue with the uca

An adjustable camber arm may alleviate the rubbing issue, but it depends on its design.

Car looks good btw..
Where exactly is the camber arm contacting the wheel?
Also if u do go the adjustable uca route,I'm sure you'll have to roll the fenders

I was leaning towards the Hard Race adjustable arm, since the rounded ends and camber adjustment might be able to move the inner barrel of the wheel further away from the center of the car.

I'm not sure what it is, these coil overs were also on my Integra, the camber on the rear is much more drastic than before and I never adjusted the height. Rolling the fenders isn't a big deal, it's just the inner barrel hitting the camber arm that bothers me.

96-00 civics get much more rear camber than the eg/dc chassis

No camber kits needed to correct the issue, just a

Would it be safe to cut the tab though? I've heard of people talking about it but never actually have seen a car with it done.

For a purely street car, I'd trust it after cutting. Just don't cut into the circular flange immediately around the bushing.

For a track car, I'd try bending the rubbing portion to a 90* angle, to preserve strength.

Or put a washer under each of the UCA to chassis mounting bolts, which will reduce the read camber and angle the wheel away from the UCA. Only do this if you're willing to give up the camber though.

That's all the free solutions I can think of. A 5mm wheel spacer would be the cheapest solution attempt. A camber kit will be more expensive, but will allow dialing in the exact amount of camber you want, and the rear camber adjusting UCAs don't create the clearance issues the front ones do for our cars.

I have the same car (same color too ) with the same wheels, and I have the same problem.

I know this is an old thread... What did you end up doing, the spacers or the camber kit? How did it work out?

What size tires are in the pic of the green coupe?

Looks like OP just posted a pic similar to his setup. So, it would be a guess at best on what size tires are on there.

No, that is a photo of my old car. Like stated, I drove it around the block - which included getting some gas.

Tires were 205/45/16 in that photo.
