It might fit, but it will probably throw your speedo off and you'll have to roll your fenders and will probably rub a shitload...If I were you I'd just go with 205/50/15.

well right now I dont have an lsd so I need traction. plus I think that wide tires look about hard as expletive.

If you want more traction, the best way to do that is to buy stickier tires (a stickier make/model of tire), rather than to get wider tires. A stickier tire that's 10 or 20 mm narrower will give you more traction than a wider tire that's not as sticky. Read my post here for an overview of various tires, classified by how much traction they have. Note that the recommendations for the guy with 300 hp in his car are not necessarily applicable to your car, but the categories remain the same.
Your car came with 195/55-15 tires. 215/50-15 is not a good idea because it may rub, and because there are very few tire choices available in that size. I would get 195/55-15 if they're available, or otherwise get 205/50-15 (which is 1.6 percent smaller in outer diameter and will throw off your speedometer and odometer by that percentage). Of the tires mentioned in that topic, 195/55-15 is available for the Toyo T1-R, Yokohama ES100, and Kumho Ecsta SPT; 205/50-15 is available for those and all the other tires mentioned except the Goodyear F1 GS-D3 and Dunlop SP Sport Maxx.
