15X7 rim. What tire size?

Will 195/55/15 tires fit on a 15 x 7 rim?
I currently have 205/50/15.

205/50/15 That's the size I use.

it defeats the purpose of having wide rims if you put 195 width tires on there...go with at least 205's

Good point. also depends on the tire itself. my 195/50/15 S0-3s fit well on my 15*7 wheel, giving it the lip protection it needs.

I would go with a 205/50/15 though. Definately stay away from the 55 ratio on the tire height.
