i know for a FASE car we tried to make one. Flowed to best from our computer models and glow testing but when it went on the ending it was starving one calender. After several CF designs we went back to the typical design.

Boostedld9, Very nice setup!
The reality is, the standard plenum design works just fine, and a tubular intake is more prone to have problems. I've seen plenty of them with bent and dinged runners because of their thin constrution.

Here is a supra by Ground Zero. Its a dual plenum design with dual throttle bodies. I think it may have an advantage by making the throttle control more progressive. Large throttle bodies supras with light weight Tilton clutches practically have a "digital" throttle.

Let not talk about the torque of a quad-4 vs B16A
The quad-4 was a pretty impressive engine, especially boosted. Too bad they installed them into POS Oldsmobile's

i know i am all late and wrong, but:
part of that is because the car was black balled before it was ever really tested and proven, because too many people were scared.
they were saying twin turbo and w/a ic = 2 adders.
so quad turbo and technically 2 w/a ics = 4 power adders.
but that setup was way before its time, i just like the fact that he made a twin setup even nastier, that no one could bitch about.
