Default Specific intake manifolds better for forced induction?

I've seen many, many posts about the difference in exhaust manifolds for turbo applications, log vs ram, etc. Is there preference for a particular type or design of intake manifold for a turbo application?

Or since it's under pressure is runner length, etc not as important until you get into the very high end?

Due to the car my B18C turbo sits in, I have very little room for the intake manifold. In fact, there is so little room that many have had to cut the firewall or resection the intake manifold runners and shorten them to make room. They do this on normally aspirated engines where I'm sure this has a pretty big effect.

If a mildly turbocharged engine could use a more compact intake manifold it might entice people to turbocharge their engines just to avoid having to hack up the firewall or butcher the intake manifold. It may not be the best reason to turbo an engine or the most cost effective but it may be enough of a reason to jump off that cliff.

Nope. Once again.. OEM is best. Keep your stock IM. you don't even need a throttle body.

No one gets Intake manifolds smaller. Even it its a Mini, because it changes characteristics of the engine's ability to be efficient in the cylinder head.

Keep what you got.

Yeah just stick with the OEM mani. When going turbo an aftermarket IM is not needed. If you have a B18C from a Type R then you have the best IM for under 500whp. If you are going for larger number then a larger IM and TB would be a good idea.

The Victor X is proven for high power. Anything more is really for race cars or people that wanna try other things.
