Well first, the WG elbow meets the collector at a 90 degree angle....so right there the exhaust gasses have to take a 90degree turn, then they have to flow through the long WG elbow pipe another 180deg. to hit the WG.....I dunno if it works then cool, but you don't think boost will spike at all?

I have also heard the same thing on Ron Covell's tig welding video.

Almost all manifolds currently produced, have a WG flange that meets the collector at 90 degrees. The fact that the gases have to make the additional 180deg turn, does almost nothing to the WG's efficency. As long as the initial WG hole in the collector is large enough, ported, and a little ways past the convergence point of the collector, the WG will work just fine.

I personally havn't had any issues, nor has a single customer.

However, this 90deg setup is still far from ideal for large turbo/high boost setups, which is why I'm coming out with my "ultimate" manifolds.

I don't know much about certain welds,But I can tell from a shitty weld and a very nice weld,and that **** is done right.
