Default Torn/Stripped Engine Mount Stud

I have an engine mount in my EK which has been ripped off the chasis by the tranny.

Pictured below is #8.

One stud has fallen off which the remaining one is a loose tooth.

My question is what to do? Weld? Retap? BTW, this is causing extreme vibration during acceleration. TIA.

i cut the bolts off mine and then drilled the holes out , i welded the nuts in to the holes in the frame and now just bolt it on , works great i dont know why they did make it like that in the first place

The front bolt is still good, the rear is busted. What I did today is got the rear of the mount welded to the chasis. This definitely was the problem of the shaking, but it still shakes at fast acceleration or high speed.

Should I go back to the welder and tell him to put another chunk of weld on the mount? Or could it be a diffferent mount?

I dont use either front mounts. I have filled the remaining 3 and the engine is pretty damn stiff. This doesnt help you, but something to consider.

what did u use to fill it spefically, ive searched around home depot and everyone says just to use some urethane based caulk...but i want to make sure its hard enough (durometer) that it makes it worth while, cuz most caulking stuff is pretty soft/low durometer

3M window weld black polyeurethane - it's for windows.
I also used Permatex Ultrablack.
It takes a week to dry. I used it only on the 2 lower mounts... I hope I don't strip them with too much torque...

Yes, the 3M Windowweld. Its was the guys that install autoglass seal the windows to the car with. Only took about 2 days to dry/cure for me. Engine is pretty damn stiff with just the 3 mounts.
Just as a warning. You will experience lots of vibrations within the car. **** will rattle.....gotta sacrifice some comfort for this mod thats all.
