Source for Small Damper Shocks?
i had mucho issues with the shock type deal thingy damper, so i just used some left/right hand threaded couplers, and some rod end joints and whamo.....no flex. made HUGE difference. the shock things always busted and leaked and didnt last.
if you can see, there is a slight dent in my shock tower from the nut pressing into it. i only have a B16 but its making some torque!!!!!
and i have all 5 mounts with energy suspension race inserts in them, and i still get alot of flex without the bar
The one that you show that was from Ebay isn't even really a damper. Just a rubber piston inside a cylinder. Pretty ghetto. I used one for a while and cracked my radiator support a little bit in the process.
After that I built a strut tower brace that also bolts to the intake manifold via some polyurethane bushings. No more engine flex.
