it has oxyacetelene (the oldest and one reccomended to learn first), mig, tig, brazing, plasma cutting tips, tips on equipment, and more i probably forgot... definately worth the $10-$20

Not to bite off the thread but im in the hunt for a nice welder to do mild steel, dps etc..

Can anybody recommend one thats not gonna hurt the pocket... like 400 or so even cheaper..

Best thing to due is just got a local place, for us it would be roberts, or earlbechs. I like Earlbeachs myself they alwasy have whatever collets, bodies, tungsten i need

Yeah thats what I figured. I'll probably head over the Robert's in Annapolis since thats closest to me and the guy that runs it, Sterling, has always been good to me a my dad.

BUZZER AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHNNNNNNNNN WRONG .. lol .. mig weld ... and it conencts to the exhaust .. bypasses the cat hehehe

do u mean how many ? i got a snap on welder, mac tools welder, millers, and a lincoln hahahah i got one thats fully digital .. which is kinda cool .. but yeah they're all pretty high teCh welders... i can do the same **** with a miller though. its more .. about techinique i think .. mig is really easy to get a hold of .. im tryin really hard to concentrate on my welding so i can make it come out very uniform and smooth kinda end up lookin like a tig weld. to get sometihgn that looks like that .. try turning the power all the way up and pulsing kidna like puttin dots together. i can do the crescents and circles pretty nice but i kinda like pulsing cuz it helps me a lot in not burning through the pipe and i get pretty good penetration still.

i was asking because i wanted to know how many amp welder you used to weld that pipe and flange... i was cheep and bought the 60amp mig and it sucks i can only weld metal thats about as thick as aluminum foil, well not really but you know what i mean. im getting a new one i think its 150amps

Its the best investment that I have made by far, you will get so much use out of it! I know that I do. It's allso nice knowing that when you are making something, it will turn out exactly like you want it to, because you are the one building it.
