Re: my first exhaust... awwww
wtf are you talking about? it's just an exhaust with thin wall, it's not supporting any weight. Non back purged exhaust is fine.
besides that would waste so much argon to purge the inside of a 3" pipe that long.

Nice DIY! How long did it take you? I see that the first pictures it was daylight, and when you finished, it was dark out. Looks like how my projects always goes.

Re: my first exhaust... awwww
love it dood, i have an ap1 myself, started building my exhaust tonight, 16g 3" mild steel, pie cuts, 3" inlet n1 muffler, i gotta find a better way to cut the pie sections, and when you go up the first time, were its the brace before the dif, and then you have the brace for the dif itself, did you go under or over ? i'm worried about going under cause my car is so low

As all of my projects as well. From light to night, then feeling like ****, because I'm starving to death and dirty as helll. Anyone feeling my boat as well?
Tho, always niced to weld up your own stuff, even though its not the prettiest, but works just fine. -

Re: my first exhaust... awwww
i just finished my custom 3" yesterday, took me a good 6-7 hours, used 14g mild steel with a n1 muffler, 3" inlet, no cat, on a lincon sp125/w gas it's ummm.. it's bloody insane. the power pickup is good, going to the dyno friday.
actually was really easy to make, still need to work on my exhaust, didn't do too much grinding It's nice though when you drive your own mods, not something that 300 other kids have
