Mig & Gas Flow Question
I started off with a Lincoln a few yrs back. It was a flux core setup that I did exhaust work with. Didn't look all that great but was rock solid.
I have since upgraded to the gas setup.
Mixture is 75/25
What flow should it be set @?
I have had it for a while, but haven't done alot with it. Seems I am using a fair amount of gas, figure I would ask to see what the typical response was.
Mostly mild steel.
Thanks in advance.

Ok cool. That is about where I was anyway.
Thanks

I find with mine I also have to turn off any cooling in the shop that causes a draft so it doesn't blow the gas away. With my TIG I don't have that problem even though I use a slightly lower flow, the nozzles on the tig are much better.
Start at 15cfh and go up very little. The more gas the more the gas induces a turbulence affect closer to the weld zone. Swirling the atmosphere back into the weld area.

Thanks.
I swapped the polarity, inner lining, wire and added the tank and regulator.
It really is amazing coming from flux to mig how much a difference.
Once I "master" mig, on to tig..lol.
