How do you bevel your exhaust runner tubes?
Working on a manifold and tried using a flap wheel to bevel and it takes forever.
Anyone have a better and faster way with more consistent results to bevel the sch10 pipes?

What grit are you using? I use 36 grit 3M flap wheels all the time on sch 40 and sch 80 pipe and it makes metal go away right-the-****-now.
Using a fine grit only serves to polish.

I believe it was a 60 grit. Also on the shorter pieces (straight sections that I cut) the get so hot so fast I have to put them down and let them cool for awhile before I get back to it.

as CODE4 said, use a more coarse grit...the more time this disc is on the material, the longer it is causing friction and soaking heat into the material...and let the disc do the work, do go throwing your weight into it and applying a ton of pressure
