If you leave a screwdriver between the hood and fender on accident it'll do something similar. lol

I thought of that,

but the only thing you will do is put a dent in the mount of the hood..

see, the point were the hood is tilted(point 1) is to short if you look at the points where their are bolted on (point 2)

but thanks for thinking with me! No help = no solving my problem ofcourse!

unless you put spacers under both bolts.
This has been done so many times that most people dislike the look now.
It does server a purpose but 99% of the people that do it, do so for the "look" of it.

easily searchable on here, "hood tilt" or "hood pop".

you want to put spacers under both bolts, not just one.

And I like the look of it its diffrent...

But thanks for the heads up about the search.. Am gonna do it now!

Not in America..

I always hand it to the ricers to come up with some dumb stuff (fake hood pins, fake roll bar, dolphin tip mufflers, fake intercoolers, etc...) BUT usually they are good cars. I myself own a little of both (07 Altima, and a few classic American cars pre-1970).

It's funny because the old muscle cars used to do that....but it was because of worn out hood springs and some racers tried to use it as a free cowl hood.

fact is we live in holland,

so the only original dutch car is the "spyker"

But am surely not a ricer,

this is my dads mach 1:

and this is my ek:

no rice as you can see..

The only way I want to try it is because the "cooling effect" that most people tell to get out of it.. If it ain't so, i'll just take the rings/washers out..

And the reason why am doing research like this, is to prevent a rice build, that my hood will be dented because I fabricated something wrong..

I know it's been out for the longest time, but is/was there any logging of the temps to show a difference?

Besides performance from ventilation, I personally think that angled hood crap looks like ***! I wonder how many domestic guys and your average joe say " You know your hood isn't lined up correctly, right?"

If I didn't know anything about cars, I would say "look at this moron, he can't even install his hood right?" If you want ventilation buy a vented hood or pick up a bumper with a larger mouth...

It's just my opinion as I never understood why this "trend" started!
