I know this thread is old as hell. But what ever happened to this idea? Has anyone ever duplicated this? Did this work?

 

I think I'd charge less to just cut a billet one out then I would to do that kind of modification to it. F that!

1 piece machined from a chunk of aluminum.

 

We did a few.....2point6 kept it alive once I left.
Once we figured out the heights and what not, they fly cut all the top off....
Need to get the shitty aluminum VERY clean...then a good TIG artist.
I've got V2 in my storage....just in case I do another build...Scotty has V3 or V3.1 on his drag Civic (all polished and etched with the welders logo).

Never got a real final cost tho.... Call Scotty @ (520)296-2223 to see if he has any connections still.

 

Managed to get ahold of one of the neil brown covers. Came up with this for a baffle, which seems to be acceptable. Clears the hood with the QSD kit.
