Can i put breather holes on top of the valve cover for the catch can?

Can i put breather holes on top of the valve cover for the catch can?
The only place my valve cover is baffled is in the very top, so my question is can i put the -10an bungs right ontop of the valve cover, pointing straight up, and use 90 degree fittings? This way my breather ports are in the baffled section and wont get much oil in them...or is there a reason why all the ones i seen have them out the front pointing towards the front of the car? thanks!

You can do whatever you want. I would say that you are most likely going to have some issues with them hitting the hood. Your only reasoning is so that you don't collect to much oil in your can? Do you plan to have it drain back? If so why does it matter how much goes in there?

X3 with hitting the hood....with that said, z10 makes a fitting that puts a 90 degree fitting off your oil cap.

hmm i gotta double check that, i have a 90 degree fitting, my main concern was is that still gonna evacuate all the blow by gasses? if it doesnt hit the hood, then they will be fine there? Thanks!

doesnt fit, what are my other options? i cant weld it on because my valve cover is already powder coated, and the front of the valve cover does NOT have a baffle, can i make a baffle somehow inside? or is that not gonna clear the valvetrain?

just drill some holes on your valvecover and stick a fitting through and nut on the outside to hold it on.
Check out fast-turbo, he sells the fittings I'm talking about if you don't want to weld.
You do not need to have baffleing in the valvecover, just put the vents anywhere. I have had then in the front and back of the valvecover, not being baffled does not make that much of a difference.
Just baffle your catch can with something, I use the foo foo plastic things girls wash with in the shower. No it doesn't melt.
