So the craftsman one only put out 87 ? Are you sure ? If that is true I guess I'm going with the hobart one, this one puts out 125 correct ??

You can weld with gas with the craftsman one also, can someone tell me how many amps this is, I read it and I'm pretty sure I'm correct, just want someone to double check me.

the craftsman one goes up to 87 amps. i couldnt find it on the box. but its right on the machine. its a great welder to start with. its done a lot of work for me. it was my first welder that i learned on and it works great. i'm not real great at welding but all the welds i have done are strong enough to jump on. i made a strut bar and i use it as my tow hook so its strong enough to pull a 2200lb car. but now i am taking arc classes (because i have to before i get to mig and tig) that use 300amp machines and theres a big difference in power
