If the surface is preped properly, and the fiberglass is applied properly it wont be a problem.
Remember.. Only apply over VIRGIN metal, not over paint and junk.
I have a good amount of bondo in my roof and around my windshield, (lots of flex in that area) and i never have problems doing so.

I'm planning to do a similar project in my SFWD car this winter, and never thought of using fiberglass over the grinded weld/bondo application.

Please dont use bondo!! It will crack!! Use USC icing, its easier to work with too. Its what all the dudes shaved bays u see on here alot use. PandaHatch, MugenEG, etc....

... usc icing or evercoat everglass to do the smoothing? i have access to both, a welder, sheetmetal, and primer for basically free... maybe 100 bucks total investment for me. any suggestions on what to use as smoother/filler?

i still havent figured out what the two bolts ontop of the front shock towers are for... above where the tock struts mount. my em1 has two studs on either side with olts on them.... looks like where two plates meet, i think im just gonna weld them up as well

ah, well i have a dc sports... those studs are going
what grit paper did you use? i was gonna use 180 for everything, use most companies say use 80 then prime, block, prime, block. but would 180 be good enough? i've been talking to the guy that does most of my bodywork and he says i should be fine
