<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by poorguy &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">why'd you go to a thinner gauge on the celica vs. the honda?</TD></TR></TABLE>

The celica was built with alot of concern for weight. Going 18ga over 16ga. saved a bit, but I figured i'd take the little bit of weight for a little extra strength on the civic manifold. The civic has to weigh 2050 so weight isn't as much of a concern. The celica CAN weigh 1650, but it'll never get there! Average weight in Pro FWD is closer to 1850.

I use .035" rod for most thin stuff.

Those are some nice headers!
Those collectors are hella expensive though.
But I guess you get what you pay for.

I do use a gas lense and a big cup when space permits.

Tony,Have you found that spltting up the housing works as well as forcing all four
through at once.Do you think that both sides are equal in CFM on the housing.Becouse wouldn't that throw off the tuneup?Unequal pressure on both sides?Just asking. It seems like unless you had an O2 sencer for each side how would you tune it with them being isolated?

Is that alcohol your pouring in there?I hope there's no heavy
stuff in there.

Yes...looks nice. I'd be proud of it if I were you too.

If you've used the Dynasty 300, you know how nice of a machine it is. They're my favorite machine. However, it won't make you any better welder. You will do just as well with your Syncrowave 250...unless you plan to use some of the pulser options.

In other words, a good machine doesn't make a person a better welder...but a better welder can use nearly any machine and produce nice welds.

Again...the Dynasty is awesome, I would love to have one also. I just got a Syncrowave 350 for the house, but usually use newer things at work.

I honestly haven't tested a divided housing/manifold directly against an undivided. I had a burns collector at the shop when i built the divided manifold and i set it up to the turbo and looked down it. The turbine housing is divided, that's how it is and there's nothing i could do about it. After looking in it through the collector, i decided surely it would flow better having them seperate. I don't know that both halves flow the exact same, I can only assume so. An o2 in each side would be one way to do it, but o2 sensors don't read accurate in a pressurized environment and you have to have a lambda pressure comp to get accurate readings. I'd do 2 backpressure sensors to get a more accurate reading of what's going on. That's something i'd like to do, but haven't had the opportunity to do yet. I have control of fuel and ign by individual cylinder as well as logging capability so maybe in the future. It can't be working too bad, the car has gone 174.8 mph so far at 2250lbs.

What's the comment about the alcohol referring to?

I can build a manifold, but I have to have the car there. There is alot of time involved in building a proper manifold and i'd have to build it and send it to you only to find out it hits the core support or something. That being said, custom manifolds take time and cost money. You'd be looking at well over $1000 for a custom one off 321 manifold.
