Default Close-loop weld

guys i need some opinions but more some advice, both are ok

i have a open dump wastegate with extended dump tube welded to get exhasut gas closer to the ground away from my block......

once fully spooled that horrible raspy noise starts, and i admit it sounds kinda nasty but i am like 70/30 toward closiing the tube and welding it back into my downpipe......

how much will this affect performance, and whats the best stragegy to complete this.....i have the DRAG kit in a 99 prelude so it is all very tight as far as space goes....

any help appreciated, but keep i mind, once welded i have to be able to get this piece in place as one unit from underneath the car avioding EVRYTHING in my way

not sure if this appys to you or any honda, but my friends 95 talon had the "closed" system of the wastegate going back into the exhaust. this was stock. he went to a tubular dump tube and this decreased his creep.

he runs 17psi.

If your worried about performance loss due to the wastegate opening into the exhaust, it will be very minimal.

looped= u hear the turbo spool.
open, you know your fast when u hear that **** dump

good= people know your a beast, bad is they know u got a turbo (if your trying to stay steath).

i think im goign to run closed loop, then just buy a 2nd o2 housing to run a dump tube on the 14b, if i want loud, then i just swap them out.
