Hey I have a 98 gsr with a b18c5 installed. It only has come low comp pistons maybe some after market rods and bearings but all I know is cp pistons (I bought it online from a guy who barely spoke English for $1800 and it’s leaked from the headgasket ever since it was installed 3 years ago and the head has a ticking noise when cold started. I do have 3 pr3 heads but only one I would send out and then I’d have to find the caps and bolts for it. So I’m looking for another one that’s hopefully skunk2 built already. I have a go auto works turbo kit sitting since last year now since I can’t make my mind up or find a cheap built head from a trustworthy place or person. Please let me know?? Why not pull off the C5 head and just have it rebuilt? send it a reputable shop not some from some shop you have no info from or joe shmoes machine shop, they are a dime a dozen and half the work is half assed. Send that head C5 head to 4 piston to be properly ported and rebuilt or to Ramey Engines, The b18C5 you have in there is already the best flowing B series head, just have it rebuilt and ported and polished! I would have the bottom block torn down and re checked! and re surfaced before you put the head back on.

Thank you so much for the advice and info. It’s hard here in Ottawa to get a good Honda people who love them to work on them. The place I was going to send it was Canadian cylinder head in Toronto. But I daily the car to work and back so I can’t send this head but have another one I could. But for all skunk2 internals and ported polished it will cost me over 2-2,500$ Canadian so I figured I might find one already built for about the same price. I have to check out those sites thank you for that as I have a hard time finding good prices on type r parts

Just send your head to 4 piston and they will give you a outlaw head for around $1,740 with SK2 VT,

definitely getting a Ramey motor for sure. Thanks man. I looked and asked and I think I’m just sending them the motor to rebuild I can’t wait but I might wait till next year when I’m debt free. Going to be awesome Ramey b18c5 . Thanks so much very much appreciated
