1997 Civic Hatchback w/ B18C Swap (Red)

** Updated with new pictures of engine bay, interior and exterior! **
So the time has come to move onto other projects and sell my 97 hatch. Some of you might have seen my thread on the project where I documented the entire build (CLICK HERE). Tons of photos and actually video proof of what went into this car along with the issues I experienced along the way. First photo is the obligatory marketplace requirement photo of the car, sign and myself.
Now the bad first... Its a 97 and spent half its life in Ohio. First half of its life was in California. When I picked it up it was completely stock without any modifications (surprisingly) and only needed some cleaning up and a few parts replaced to get it back together.
- Remove Autozone foglights
- Replace trunk floor board and carpet
- Missing fuse box cover under dash
- Center console plug inserts
- misc doodads
Now the exterior isn't perfect. The front bumper has some rash from the previous owner along with the passenger front fender dent shown below and the last thing is the GSR drivers seat has a rip on the bolster but they are still a heck of a lot better than the stock Civic DX seats. The last thing to mention is the Yonaka exhausts are notorious for having a resonator rattle when the internal baffle welds come loose... and it happened to me. Only hear it around 3.5k rpm in a 100-200rpm window. Easy fix with a new resonator or buy something a little nicer and replace the whole system. I was in a pinch and picked the Yonaka up when I did the swap. Lastly, the Skunk 2 intake manifold removes the IACV which means that in cold the idle might need a little throttle till warmed up and then will idle perfectly.
Mods:
1996 B18C GSR motor (all original internals)
GSR Rear Shocks and Springs
Yonaka Cat Back Exhaust (resonator rattle)
GSR Rims (snowflakes *rare) with new tires
Short ram intake
GSR Front Seats
Civic EX cluster (rpm gauge redline 7k but goes to 8.5k)
Skunk2 Pro Race Intake manifold and throttle body
Ice Cold AC and heat
Standard Civic DX features of note:
No powersteering
No power windows or locks
No ABS
This is a great starter platform for anyone wanted the hardest part taken care of and a strong motor already swapped in. The chassis has ~210k miles on it and the GSR motor when swapped in had 217k. Seems high but the donor car motor was perfect. Compression Test numbers come back at 210, 214, 211, and 216. Like I said, perfect and pulls strong.
Just replaced the fuel filter, vtec solenoid gasket. Interior is perfect and complete and includes the rear privacy cover in the trunk you rarely find.
Reason for selling... I picked up a new ride and with 4 kids and a business owner, I don't have time to continue this project nor drive it as often as I would like. I used to drive this car to work weekly which was 600miles round trip and would not hesitate to drive the car today across the country.
Asking Price = 3800 obo
