Stuck in Park
I have a 2001 Odyssey and I'm having the problem where the transmission is stuck in park. I've followed the advice in other posts I've seen on the forum, but without success. So far I've:
1. Been able to get it out of park by inserting a key into the override slot on the column.
2. Verified that all the brake lights work.
3. Verified that the "STOP" fuse is intact.
4. I even changed the interlock switch, but that didn't fix the problem.
I've seen other posts that mention it may the solenoid, but those posts offered no further details about the solenoid.
Where is the solenoid located? What does it look like? Is there a test I can try to positively determine if this solenoid is the problem? If it is in fact the solenoid, is it easy to replace and how does one replace it?
Is there something besides the solenoid that may be causing the problem?
Thanks in advance for your help.
