Default Squealing in 2nd and 3rd?

Hi,

I drive a 5 speed, 98 Honda Civic DX and recently my car has started to make slight, high pitch squeling noises after about 10 seconds or so in 2nd and 3rd gear. If i apply the clutch or throw it into neutral the noise immediatly stops. Anyone got any ideas of what the problem may be?

My guess is throwout bearing, but I'd wait to see what others say.

It could be your clutch. Id take it off and see how your clutch looks. If that is fine id open it up and look at your bearings and syncros. It could be any of those 3 but you need to take it off and open it up to really find out what it is. It could be any one of those things.
