hi there, yesterday my transmission started to pop out of fifth and into neutral,it would do this every minute or so and i had to hold it into gear the entire drive.... now, when i checked under the car, it looks like one of the axles is popped a little out of the transmission and also there was something hanging down off the tranny that could swing up or down, was this one of the mounts? when i accelerate there is a banging that i can hear and feel under the car that didnt start until all of this, and also alot of leaking out of the tranny what could this be? how can i fix it? thanks...

 

Picture of the mount? If it looks like a mount it is either the torque mount or block brace.

Probably ran it out of fluid due to a leak, if so find another trans. If not you already did some damage by holding it in gear so it should be torn down and inspected.
