I spent a great deal of my time actually removing them from unhappy customers transmissions and replaced them with Quaife, Type R, Wavetracs and ATS units. Most of which had worn housings and metal shavings everywhere....wish I still had the pics!!!

Maybe it was improper installation...but I don't think that many people could have all installed them incorrectly....

How about those stronger replacement diff pins that had a lower Rockwell hardness than OEM?????

SRT4 drivers got burnt on that.

Yes it will fit in the YS-1 cables and the rest of the Hydros. Will not work in a Y-1, S-1, J-1 or A-1.

Does have a different bolt patter on the Ring Gear so you will need to use either the US Type R ring and pinion, or Early Type R 4.40, or a Hydro GSR Ring an pinion. If trying to use the JDM Later model Type R 4.78 Final you will need to get the 1st gear parts to go along with the Final Drive....

Or you can go with an aftermarket 4.78 that doesn't need the 1st gear OEM pieces.

Hope that wasn't too confusing

sorry if this is off topic, but why do you need to use the jdm later model 1st gear parts also? i've installed a few and sometimes i used the jdm later 1st gears, sometimes i used the regular usdm 1st gears, and havent had any issues so far.

Now shows "Banned" under John's username.

I didn't even get to mention where I was run off the road south of Mid Ohio coming home from my first Niagra CRX meet.
