i just bought a D16z6 swap that is supposed to have a completely rebuilt tranny and an LSD diff in it, but it has a spider gear pin in it. i was wondering if there is any lsd diffs that have the spider gear pin going though, just like in a non lsd diff? i've always heard that all lsd's dont have the pin going through, or you can see all the way through the diff.

If it had a phantom grip or equivalent lsd "insert" you would still see the diff pin.

 

No lsd has a diff pin going through the center. Phantom slip is not an LSD in my opinion...some will say it works but, never from any of my transmission experience has it worked well or not caused damage.
