Default LSD Install?

Been looking for some descriptive write up's on the install since im about to purchase one hopefully today, but havent had much luck except for a few pictures. If anyone has any good info or knows of a good write up let me know. Also can it be installed without pulling the whole tranny?

thanx

You can use that write up. No need for threadlock though.

You have to pull the trans.

The shifter mechanism is external to the transmission on the K, making it a bit easier to close the trans up. Beyond that, K's and B's are pretty similar. They run a lot of the same clearances.

You won't be touching the countershaft though, besides setting it aside for you to get to the differential.

ok got the tranny out finally and all the bolts loose from the casing, is the shift assembly suppose to come out first? Not sure if im missing something bc the only bolt i didnt take out yet is a big allen nut which im in the process of getting. Does the assembly have to be out in order to get the casing off? Any help is needed ASAP. Thanx

You assembled the transmission incorrectly.

how so? all gears were in nuetral when i put the shift assembly back together? I kept all the shafts together so they just dropped right in place. Put the reverse gear and rod back on, lined it up for the bolt to go through the outside of the casing. I was told it might be my cables binding up bc previous owner had a similar problem. Not too too worried since i dont use 5th when im racing, only 2nd and 3rd. But incase i ever use the tranny later down the road ill have to look into it more.
