Default ls trans options.

i have a strait ls trans with a mfactory lsd and about to run a 26.2 tall street tire. would you switch to a b16 final drive with ls gears or go strait gsr?

edit: car is should be making around 7-800whp and i run a 24.5 slick at the track, revving to 8900

Theoretically if you are making traction...Your 1-2 are gonna be the same since they both have the same FD and same 1-2 ratios. With the LS/B16 hybrid you will have less acceleration speed in 3-4-5 gears vs. the straight GSR. Of course you are compromising MPH but, from what I can see it won't be an issue. Personally I would go with the GSR. But if you need the extra bit of MPH and you obviously have plenty of power to pull you then the LS/B16 Hybrid may be a viable option. What are you trapping on the current setup?

That is a good option as well. Might have to shift into 5th in the top of the 1/4 though with a 4.40 FD! LOL
