what trans for low 10s?

what trans for low 10s?
im in the process of puttin my car back together and i currently have a jdm b16 trans with kaaz lsd and i wanna know if i should look towards the ls trans instead? i wanna run low 10s and maybe high 9s (in the future atleast) and the last time i was at the track i trapped 130mph and my shift light was on for the last 30ft or so. light was set @ 8800. now with the supertechs im hoping to take it to 9500 which should put me at 142-143mph trap speed on 24.5in slicks.. any insight would be great thanks .

Most people I know in the power range run gsr trannys. I switched from an ls tranny to a gsr and I like it much better. Not too short of gearing but not anywhere near as long as the ls.

ive got a ls final drive i might put in the b16 trans when i put in the liberty hancuff.

gsr man @19psi im around 540hp i trapped 138 like that on a 10.6 pass
@23psi ive went 144 without hitting the limiter at the end.
I have yet to try 26psi yet, but will on the 8th in wichita

b16 1-2-3gsr4th 700+whp, shifting 10.8k netted my car a 9.98 at 147.xx
i am actually swapping back to a b164th gear.
i think the fact that i am still a little t3 turbo, thats why i need the b16 gearing.
depends on the power you are making, where the power is being made, and how high you are reving the engine.
