As the day I take my rig up to lovefab's to get it all ready for boost closes in, I realize that I may not be able to hold out for a GSR LSD trans.

So I am concidering an ls trans with an lsd, as those are more readily available. The problem is that I intend to roadrace this car more frequently than drag race. In either case, its just a toy, not a purpose built rig.

I think that it'll probably see 5 - 8 track days this season, and do a lot of ripping around town. So to those of you with the tall geared ls transmission, I am curious, would I be making a mistake in giving in and picking that up? 8000 rpm is a lot to go thru, and I don't want this car to be a snooze.

i wouldnt , but thats me. Acceleration means everything in racing.wether its drag or road racing.

An LS tranny will suck donkey ***** on a B16 engine. My buddy has an LS tranny on his boosted B16 and his 3rd gear redlines (8500rpms) at like 110mph or something like that, it's rediculous lol. I would defintely hold out for a B16/ITR or GSR tranny.
