Let me explain my slipping...
I have a 1990 Honda Accord with an automatic in it. It slips while going into 2nd gear. I don't really think it's a slip but the engine races up and then it takes 2nd gear and shifts fine. If you shift it manual it will not do this at all. And if you let off the gas right before it shifts into 2nd a couple of times while driving it normal it will shift normal without letting off the gas there on after. I have changed out the seloniods and it didn't change anything. I purchased the car used and it's had a transmission put in it. Also at times it seems to not downshift like it should. Does this sound like a TCM problem? Thanks for any pointers...

Re: Let me explain my slipping...
I'm pretty sure this happens when the engine and trans is cold. Just allow it to warm up before driving. You can manually shift it in the morning until it warms up you can put it into normal drive. If this problems happens when everything is it operating temp, than the transmission is going out.
Not shifting while its cold is a huge problem win other Honda automatics

No it does it all the time. There is no difference between cold or hot. But if the tranny is going out why does it correct itself after it's driven for a while? And why does it not do it while shifting it manual? It pulls strong and has no other issues other than the revving right prior to it going into 2nd gear.
