hey wats up guys? i have a couple transmissions that my friend gave me. he said they were both left outside for a couple months. so i'd assume they got rained into cuz i look inside and there is rust spots on the gears, bearings, etc. are these worth rebuilding or even anything at all?

 

depends, minor surface rust doesn't hurt anything but they will need to be checked out.

 

Id put new bearing (Including needle bearings) and syncros in it. I had one that i rebuilt that the inside was rusted from no oil in it for a hot minute. I used carb cleaner to clean it all out and it worked great.
