D16z6 tranny issue!!!!

Icon6 D16z6 tranny issue!!!!
i recently bought a 94 civic coupe ex, i got the car about a week ago. the problem is that when i drive off in first gear you can here a rubbing sound in the tranny. it does this in first and second gear only all the other gears sound fine. there's no problem throwing in the gears is just that rubbing and scrapping sound. any advice would help.... thx

it sounds like if there were 2 pieces of metal scraping with each other....somewhat loud.

Maybe the countershaft needle bearing in the clutch housing is riding up.

i had this issue with my Gsr tranny, it turned out to be the gears went bad from the previous owner smashing on the tranny badly
