D16z6 rear main seal lip to crank gap???
installing my d16z6 brand new rear main seal came to find out something.
Is there supposed to have a slight gap in/ between the rear seal lip to where it sits on the crank???
if so how much seal lip is there supposed to have.
i noticed the top part of the seal has like a slight gap compared to looking at the bottom of the seal/
i installed it correctly and made sure all springs where in looks okay but just the slight gap i noticed... more on the upper part.
is there supossed to have like a slight gap..????
please let me know thanks...

The seal should be making full contact ll the way around the crank. If you have a gap it's going to leak.
