CONSTANT NOISE AFTER REPLACING CLUTCH
Well story goes like this.................
Cruising around downtown Toronto one night holding the clutch down at the lights when suddenly my car felt it got hit from behind. Turns out the drivetrain gave out and I panic, no pressure on the cable YS1 JDM clutch! Figured out to shut the car off and put it in 1st gear start the car and slowly cruised on the highway back home (managed to jerk through the gears without grinding).
After parking it for a while (1 month)......took the tranny off and noticed the release bearing spring arm was broken.......so I replace both spring & release bearing put the tranny back on (after cursing & sweating for 5 hrs) and still no pressure on the clutch pedal.
Seeing that I'm no mechanic, I thought it was the clutch.......so I ordered a new clutch (Exedy stage 1) put the tranny back on again..................AND STILL NO PEDAL PRESSURE.
WELL...................wasted my money and turned out to be my cable got WORN OUT! Changed it and finally got the pedal pressure back.
NOW
Turn the car on and I hear a loud rattling constant noise in the transmission and it will not go into gear. Turn the car off, put in 1st gear and still no the car won't move.
Anyone know what the problem could be?
Your help would be greatly appriciated!
Thanks

Re: CONSTANT NOISE AFTER REPLACING CLUTCH
could be the clutch master cylinder or the slave cylinder. i recomend you have a mechanic look at it. it could possibly be your tranny, but i doubt it. you dont have clutch pressure its gonna be one of the 2.
NOTE; did you ever bleed the system at all??
if you didnt look up DIY how to bleed a clutch.

Thanks. Half the problem solved...........needed to adjust the cable even more. Now it goes into gear.
Second half of the problem..................rattle noise still exists.
Going to take it around the block to see if it goes away.

Re: CONSTANT NOISE AFTER REPLACING CLUTCH
rattle noise could be caused by the headshield on the underacarrage of the car too, a, or maybe you forgot to put in the piolot bearing, if so, remove the tranny again and do it asap, other wise your gonna jack yo shhh up
