big difference from 4.266 to 4.4 final drive?
i'm putting a lsd in my 97 ls, and want to change my final drive for performance reasons. this is my daily driver, and know my gas mileage will suffer. i do alot of "spirited" driving, and autox. just looking for opinions from personal experiences.

tbh, you won't really notice that much difference going from a 4.266 to a 4.4, only a couple mph shorter in each gear.
You can compare the speed vs rpm here

Thats a very small difference in change. You really notice more on changes like 4.4 to 4.9 or 4.26 to 4.7
And it really depends on the transmission you already have at the moment as well. If you're on an LS gearset, its already long gears to start with and you wont "feel" much of the change. But if you're on a B16 or ITR gear set, you'll "feel" the change much easier.
