Hey everyone, i have a b16 transmission problem. When i am driving at a normal speed ans trying to shift in to 3rd it kicks me out. Im not sure if it is grinding cause i never rode in a car whose tranny was grinding before. Could it be the syncros? I have been reading alot of fourms and alot of people have recommended using GM Syncromesh to fix to help the problem? Is this only for a transmission that grinds?

 

fluid change won't fix anything.

I pulled over thinking it was overheating because Been driving it hard all day

So i pulled over and added 1 quart of ATF because thats all ampm had

Drove me home and about 1 year longer on that tranny(trans is for sale actually hydro gsr)



Well I would sugest changing fluid or atleast check your Fluid level
in your transmission

 

Okay ill do that. Do you have a particular brand in mind? GM syncromesh, Honda MTF, Royal Purple, Lucas? also what which weight of the fluid
?

Honda MTF Is a good DAILY DRIVER fluid

Iv heard there is better fluids for racing
