Default B16 sequential gearbox

Hi everyone, my name is Des Moore, I am from Northern Ireland where we run a race and rally parts supply business called DMRR. We have recently brought a B16 (Y21/S4C) sequential gearbox from Quaife engineering in the UK to the marketplace. We have been in this business for over 25 year and have been involved in supplying and developing parts for Honda civics since 1999.
What transmissions does anyone out there currently use?

I currently use a 98 JDM ITR, but have used many varieties. You will see that there are more definitely more popular transmissions out there but basically people use every Honda transmission out there.
A lot of the B series guys run the B16 trans, some prefer the GSR trans (usually street driven turbo drivers), and some even like the LS transmission (again street driven turbo guys). If you are talking about cars that require a dog box, then people like all different makes.

So do you think there is any need for a sequential operation dog box?

They're up on his user page. What kind of engine management and shifter are you using with it? Are you running auto cuts/blips or just driver induced?

We have a small flat shift kit available that reads of the pot on the box. So flat shifts all gears. No blipped needed as it can shift down through every gear without the clutch as long as you are using the brakes at the same time.

Wonder if theyll offer more ratio options in the future, not that i have the money for something like this but those ratios are uber close. Killer rally setup for sure!

There might be other ratios offered in future, but more likely to be even shorter/closer. The initial idea was for rally use...... but if there is a requirement for ratios for other disciplines like racing or drag use we can look at making them.
Do you have any idea how we could go about advertising these?
Regards, Des.

You might sell a few for rally use in the US. Other than that there are very few classes in road racing that allow them and even less for drag racing.

Ah ok, I didn't realise they were not allowed for drag and street racing.
Thank you very much for the information.
Best regards, Des.

Road racing = circuit, not street racing. Just to clarify since our countries have a bit different lingo.
