Yes, all b series trans/motors are compatible. I would try to get another B16 trans, or a GSR trans. A B16 with an ls trans would be **** slow. Why don't you just do some research and fix your transmission? It's not as hard as it might sound.

If its an early model 90-91 Trans like an S-1, Y-1, A-1 or J-1...I would replace it with a 92-93 YS-1 short geared trans if you can find one. Those early model B-series trans are dinosaurs and parts are hard to find...they are also not as strong. The YS-1 are interchangeable with 94-up transmissions for the most part and parts can be had much more easily. The YS-1 LS will not be a good choice and will drastically affect your acceleration speed. I made that mistake of trying an LS at the advise of someone else waay back in the day and it was the worst gear ratio ever. I wasn't as wise back then and listened to someone with NO race experience. I know better now after years of working with transmissions. If your in a bind and have no choice that is one thing. But, I would set my sights on finding a short geared YS-1. You will appreciate it more.
