I need to know if anyone has done it and if it worked out ok. I have a 92 ys1 integra ls transmission, it is the big spline cable tranny compatible with all newer integra trannys. I am wanting to know If I can put a type r lsd in it, and even the gears so that I can achieve the ratios the type r has. I dont now about the gears workin but the lsd should, any info will help, thanks.

 

yes it works in the ys1 tranny and only the ys1 tranny . you will need the final drive from the type-r and the 1st gear

 

So in order to run a itr lsd, I need to buy itr first gear and final drive, and will the local acura mechanice be able to do this.

Everything should bolt right up. Only 92 and up though.

 

no it'll also fit in the 4.4 Y1 cable trannies too ... any cable with a 4.4 it will work providing you get the GSR/Type R ring gear (the big gear with 66 teeth)
