yellow vs red top optima
i just bought a red optima battary for my car i have no stereo system or anything but i needed a battery and figured spend a little extra i got a bunch of electronics though like msd ignition gauges, etc. whell anywho i get home and my friends like your a moron why didn't you get the yellow. i was under the impression that the only dif was the yellow was deep cycle and better seeled, what should i do try and return it and get the yellow or will i be happy whith red. what is the difference

If you drive car every day, the red top would be the correct choice, since the amperage drain will be nominal and the battery would be recharged on a daily basis. However, if the customer stores the vehicle for a long period of time with the alarm system engaged, you should recommend the yellow top, since the amperage drain over several weeks would damage a red top and reduce its life.
