Default Wrist Pins/ piston question

I order a set of USDM .25 overbore pistons. Can eagle rods be used without any modification to the pistons or rods themselves?

I asked the guy selling the rods and he said "As long as they use the standard wrist pin size and the pistons are set up for floating pins instead of pressed pins."

Someone want to translate into english for me. I am not sure if they are set up for these or not. I simply ordered USDM .25 overbore pistons.

thanks
Ryan

pressed pins have the wrist pin pressed into the rod and the pistons slide back and forth on the pin - for floating pins the pistons have a snap ring in the pin hole on each side to hold the pin in and the rod slides back and forth on the pin

soo, the .25 overbore usdm itr pistons will work with the eagle rods or wont? my friend has blown rings and we really gotta get this thing working to it's full potential.

EDIT: would a pic of the piston help?

Stock ITR/GSR/CTR piston pins are pressed into the piston. If the Eagle rods require full floating wristpins, the stock pistons will not work without modification.

Well that was helpfull. Never ceases to amaze me how clowns like this can be @ 100% and I'm not. (((mods))).

I have eagle rods(GSR) and JDM ITR pistons. I do not know if the JDM and USDM pistons have the same wrist pins. The Eagle rods have 20.98mm small ends. These require 21mm wrist pins to be pressed in. The wrist pins that came with my ITR pistons are too small and I can put them easily by hand into the pistons/rods. I needed to have the pins pressed out of my stock GSR rods/pistons and use those. I hope this helps you.
